When
we adopted Nicole at two an a half years old she had numerous surgeries because due to the burns she did not have the
use of her left hand, and later on she had to have burn scares released. We never knew how she got burned. Nicole always
hated the scares and thought she was so ugly but when you see her pictures you will see how wrong she was. Nicole developed
severe allergies during her junior year of school.,to cig smoke and strong chemicals. She went into anaphylactic shock. We
was always scared to death that we would lose her that way and a few time she almost had to be put on, life support. She ended
up having to leave High School her Senior Year and going to the Community College to finish they couldnt keep the smoke out
of the school. After she got over that set back it was hard she missed her friends so. We got her a new car because she had
to start driving to school she said that we got it because we was feeling guilty because she had to leave school. Actually
we was trying to find something to make up for the pain she was having. She went to Alice Lloyd College and after the 1st
semester they ask her to withdraw because of her allergies that hurt her so bad, once again she drove to finish the year out
but moved out of the dorm and back home . It was so hard on her she cried!! She seen to be happier after she got settled in
at the Hazard Community College, and was working at JCPennys. She had such a wonderful outlook on life for all she had been
through. She was a happy, loving, kind, generous person. She could have her
bad moods but never let them last to long. We could set and talk for hours. Put her and me in a car driving along and we had
the best of times. I teased her about her boyfriends . She wasnt dating anyone steady when she got killed . She wonted to
be a Doctor so bad.
Now
I would like to share with you some of her favorite things. Nicole loved her
two dogs Baby and Nikita. Talking on her cell phone her brother"Nick" came up with that one, favorite flowers Purple Tulips,
Roses, and SHOPPING she loved buying clothes but if she decided to show up in her pajama pants she did. She was a firm believer
in you wearing what you wonted and not care what others thought. She did show up at my work in her pajama pants. LOL Her dad
said couldnt Nicole have put something else on. She didnt care.
Its
still a little soon for me to tell you everything about Nicole that made her so special to me and other but soon I hope to
tell more about her love of life. Connie
